Why property, and only property

Property tax has its own rules on finance costs, capital costs, joint ownership, gains and reporting, and they change often. Focusing on landlords means we see the same questions many times a year, keep one set of reviewed figures up to date, and can tell you quickly whether something is routine or needs care.

Our approach

  1. Evidence before opinion. Every tax figure on this site links to HMRC, GOV.UK or legislation. We apply the same standard to advice.
  2. Fixed fees agreed in advance. You know the cost before we start.
  3. Plain English. We explain what we filed and why, and flag what you need to decide.
  4. Honest about grey areas. Where tax law is uncertain we say so, and we will not recommend arrangements that depend on HMRC not looking closely.
  5. Named responsibility. A named, qualified accountant reviews your work and every guide we publish.

What we do

How we keep our guides accurate

Each guide states its tax year and jurisdiction, is written and reviewed by a named, qualified accountant, and shows a last-reviewed and next-review date. Rates and thresholds are held in one place and checked after every Budget and at the start of each tax year. A review date only changes when the content has actually been reviewed.
